Nuværende navn fra 1919.
Dansk afdeling Den internationale Kvindekomité for varig Fred, senere Kvindernes Internationale Liga for Fred og Frihed.
Ligaen afholder en international giftgaskonference i Frankfurt am Main i januar 1928.
Blandt Ligaens kampagner kan nævnes: The International Committee for India, Nedrustningskampagnen, The Campaign of the Peoples’  Mandate to Governments startet i USA i september 1935. To af the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom medlemmer, Jane Addams og Emily Greene Balch, har fået Nobels fredspris.
Rådgivende status ved FAO, ILO, UNICEF.
